Firefighters Put Out Blaze At Fairfax Bank

FAIRFAX, VA - A fire broke out at a Fair Lakes bank on Wednesday afternoon just after 4pm. Black smoke bellowed into the sky from United Bank located on Fair Lakes Boulevard across from the Best Buy. FT Productions was on scene to get EXCLUSIVE video of the fire. (above)

Several fire trucks and dozens of firefighters tackled the blaze as police and rescue secured the area and closed local roads. I happened to be driving by and captured much of the fire fight which lasted over 1 1/2 hours in the 85 degree heat.

Great work and communication by the teams of fire fighters. The fire left the bank burned out with a partially collapsed roof. As of now, authorities do not know the cause of the fire.
